Is alcohol included in the set?

No, we advise buying a good vodka locally for the Do Your Gin and Do You Whisky sets. For the whisky set, you can also use a corn liquor. This can be found under the name "Moonshine", but is very rare. For the Do Your Rum Set, we recommend that you use a non-aged rum, because the restrained, light flavour profile allows the mixed spices and fruits to stand out better.

What is the volume of the bottles?

One bottle holds 350 ml or 0.35 litres.

Can I buy spices separately?

Yes, not only that, you can also order many other exciting gin botanicals from our shop, e.g. rose petals.

How long does it take to make gin?

To make your own gin you need 24 - 48 hours.

Which vodka do you recommend for the Do Your Gin Set?

Absolut Vodka tastes very neutral and is therefore a good white canvas to paint a colourful gin picture on. A little more unusual would be a Three Sixty, which already comes with a slight hint of lemon and vanilla, which is very exciting in your own gin. Good vodka doesn't have to be expensive, but if you're looking for something in the 20-30€ range, we recommend Finlandia. This has a little more alcohol content, and the gin will be a little stronger as a result. This is good if the gin is later enjoyed in a cocktail or gin and tonic.

What spices are included in the gin set?

The Do Your Gin Set contains the best quality of 3 x juniper, coriander, cubeb pepper, cardamom, hibiscus flowers, bay leaf, lavender flowers, liquorice, orange peel, pink berries packed in a total of 12 beautiful spice jars.

How much gin can I make?

The juniper is enough for 2-3 gins, all other spices for about 10-20, so as soon as you buy more juniper, you can just keep on making gin at home.

Which alcohol is recommended for the Do Your Whisky Set?

We always recommend using a mild vodka as the base. Russian Standard or Smirnoff Vodka have proven to be particularly good. You can also use a corn schnapps for the whisky set. This can be found under the name "Moonshine", but is very rare.

How long does it take to make the Infused Whisky?

We recommend a bottle maturation of 2-4 weeks until your own "whisky" is ready.

What are the cubes in the whisky set for?

The stainless steel cubes, which first have to be pre-chilled in the freezer, allow you to enjoy the whisky on the rocks without watering it down.

Which rum is suitable for the rum set?

If possible, we recommend a white, preferably unripened rum, because the restrained, light flavour profile allows the mixed spices and fruits to stand out better.


FAQ - ORDER / VOUCHERS / DISCOUNT CODES / PAYMENT OPTIONS

 

How do I place an order?

Add the selected products you would like to order to your shopping cart. You can also update your selection in the shopping cart at any time by adding or deleting products.
Checkout: In the next step, you place a binding order by providing us with the shipping and payment details.
In the last step, confirm your order after checking your entries. Once you have read and accepted the cancellation policy and the general terms and conditions, you can complete the order process.

What can I do if I have accidentally entered a wrong address?

We ship twice a day from Monday to Friday in order to deliver the packages as quickly as possible. Please note that once we have processed and confirmed your order, we cannot change your address.

Please contact our customer service team as soon as possible at gin@doyourgin.com so that we can change your details in time. If this is not possible, we will have to wait until your package is returned to us. As soon as the package reaches our warehouse again, we will arrange a refund or resend the package to you.

What can I do if I have selected the wrong set?

Please note that we cannot change your order once it has been completed. If your parcel is still being prepared for dispatch, you can request a cancellation via the contact form. Once the package has been processed or shipped, you can return it to our warehouse.

Is it possible to change my order?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change an order that has already been placed. We can only cancel an order as long as it has not been processed and shipped.

How can I pay?

We offer all common payment methods: PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Sofortüberweisung and on account with Klarna.

How can I redeem a voucher code?

You can redeem your discount code by clicking on your shopping cart and checkout. On the right side you will find a field where you can enter your code. Then click on "apply" and the total of your shopping cart will automatically adjust. Multiple codes cannot be combined.

I forgot to redeem my voucher. What can I do?

Once you have completed your order, it is no longer possible to deduct the discount. This is because your invoice has already been created. You can use your discount code on your next order.


FAQ - SHIPPING


How long does shipping take?

Our products are ready for immediate dispatch. The delivery time within Germany is 1-3 working days. We ship twice from Monday to Friday via DHL. Immediately after shipping, you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number from us. The delivery time to other EU countries is 3-5 working days.

How can I track the shipment of my order?

As soon as we receive your order, you will receive an email confirming your order and another email confirming the shipment. In the second email you will find the shipment information. If you have not received this email, please contact us via the contact form.

What can I do if my package has been returned to sender?

If your tracking status shows that your parcel is being returned to sender, it could be because your address on file was incorrect/incomplete or the postman did not have access to you. Please contact our customer service team and provide us with your order number and tracking code so that we can arrange a refund.

What can I do if my parcel was delivered but I did not receive it?

If you were not at home to receive your parcel when it was delivered, but you are still told that it has been delivered, please check if the delivery person has left a delivery notice in your letterbox. The parcel could be at your neighbour's or at a nearby post office.

I placed an order but I won't be there to receive it. What can I do?

If your order is completed, it will be forwarded directly to our carrier. If you will not be there on the expected delivery date, your package will still be sent to your address. The package is expected to be delivered to a post office near you. The package will be held there for 7 days until it is returned to the sender.


FAQ - COMPLAINTS / RETURNS & REFUNDS


I have ordered on Amazon and would like to make a complaint. How do I proceed?

If you have ordered our sets via Amazon and would like to make a complaint, please contact us via our contact form with your order number.

I have received damaged/ defective/ incomplete/ wrong goods, what can I do?

Please use the contact form and send us pictures of the damaged/ faulty goods so that we can forward this to our internal quality management. Our customer service will then get in touch with you!

How can I be refunded for an item?

It's a shame that you don't want to keep your order. You can return your item to us 14 days after receiving your order. As soon as the package arrives back at our warehouse, we will give you a full refund.

Do I have to pay the return shipping costs if I cancel my order?

Yes, please note that you are responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods. Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a return voucher.

How can I return goods?

After you have sent us a clear declaration of revocation, you send the package back to the following address:

How do I receive my invoice?

If you have not received your invoice, please contact us via the contact form with your order number.

I don't receive the newsletter even though I signed up?

As soon as you have registered for our newsletter, you will receive an e-mail with an activation link. When you click on it, you will be redirected to a page that confirms your registration. You have now successfully registered for our newsletter.

How can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?

You will find the "Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of every email. If you click on it, you will unsubscribe from our newsletter.
